In less than three sentences tell us about your company and what you do.

We are a marketing consulting company that specializes in social media marketing. This looks different for each of our clients as each business is unique in their own way and requires a different strategy. Our main focus is to help small businesses grow, thrive, and standout in a competitive market.

What does BEING a FoundHer mean to you?

Being a FoundHer means so much to me, the ladies part of this organization are so bright and amazing and I love that we are able to work together as a team!

How do you support other female founders and women in business?

Creating and maintaining relationships and seeing how we can help each other out and work together.

At what point did you make your company a full time gig? How did you know the time was right?

Feb 2024, I knew the time was right because I left my full-time corporate job and wanted to pursue Jahjah Consulting completely.

What lesson or skill did you take with you from a prior job to help you succeed in your role today?

To stay organized and on top of my tasks. If I need to complete something it’s better to do it right away rather than procrastinate and put it off.

Let’s talk social media—who handles it for your company (you, an internal team member, an outsourced solution?) and what is the secret to making it successful? What is the biggest challenge?

I do! I think the secret to making it successful is posting consistently and being engaged with followers. Biggest challenge is coming up with ideas on what to post… it’s easy for me to come up with ideas for others but not myself.

How did you land your first client?

My best friend referred someone to me.

What is something you do differently from the industry standard?

I pour my heart into my clients and want to see them succeed more than anything and I think my clients truly feel that from me.

I’m very responsive and flexible with the way I communicate. One client only likes to text through WhatsApp, fine by me!

I am a Gen Z… the world of social media comes so easy to me and it is a passion of mine since a very young age.

Did you raise capital? What was the process and avenue you chose to take?

I don’t raise capital. I used my own in the beginning and now am at the point in which I profit.

What would you do differently if you were starting your business today?

Start sooner!

What are three strategies you use to market your business, grow brand awareness and generate bottom line growth?

1. Having a theme / aesthetic for my own person brand.

2. Network network network!

3. Posting on social media to show my potential clients that if my social media looks this good I could do the same for them.

What was an obstacle you overcame to get your business where it is today? Please share the story behind it.

Probably running into toxic people that tried taking advantage of me. Lessons learned from it but looking back it still makes me upset to think people can be so cruel.
