What does BEING a FoundHer mean to you?
It means that I am a woman who is leading the industry. I have created a voice that helps women in the future have a voice too. Especially as a Syrian immigrant, I know what it means to bring women voices.
How do you support other female founders and women in business?
I coach them and love to support them in their business journey.
At what point did you make your company a full time gig? How did you know the time was right?
I was laid off my job as a creative director at Kendra Scott during COVID. When they invited me back, I said no and dove head first!
What lesson or skill did you take with you from a prior job to help you succeed in your role today?
I have a whole podcast episode about this. Kendra Scott taught me so much about converting cold leads with the brand alone and creating a unique experience.
Let’s talk social media—who handles it for your company (you, an internal team member, an outsourced solution?) and what is the secret to making it successful? What is the biggest challenge?
I handle my social media with my own graphics and captions. My OBM schedules this for me. I think keeping my voice in my social media helps me to convert and stay connected.
What is something you do differently from the industry standard?
I do not copy or look to Pinterest or others for inspiration. I look at brands and people like Beyonce as inspiration.
