Harriet Hadfield, Founder of Harriet Hadfield Coaching
Name: Harriet Hadfield
Founder: Harriet Hadfield Coaching
Who is Harriet Hadfield?
Harriet is a huge A-list celebrity makeup artist (IE Olivia Rodrigo), Youtuber, and business coach. Tired of the starving artist narrative and the common misconception that freelance goes hand in hand with sacrifice, Harry made it her mission to empower creative freelancers with the tools & strategies to step into the CEO role in their business, book celebrity clients and global brands without needing an agent, and without relying on word of mouth.
In less than three sentences tell us about your company and what you do.
Alongside co-creating an award winning beauty Podcast ‘Full Coverage’ with over 1 million + downloads, and a YouTube channel ‘Harry Makes It Up’ with over 4.5 million views, Harry went on to start her own Podcast ‘Freelance With Freedom’ in 2021. Harriet also has Tourettes and OCD, but has still learned to have a highly successful business with a neurodivergent brain.
Her business coaches creatives through their business process.
What does BEING a FoundHer mean to you?
Being a foundHER means I created my own freedom and the life that I desired where my work is full of mission and a movement. It is also a way that I can balance having Tourettes and still be a highly successful individual.
How do you support other female founders and women in business?
Harriet supports them through her coaching, her YouTube channel, her podcast, and overall community. She provides connection and advice to them and reminds them of the CEO or foundHER that they are.
What lesson or skill did you take with you from a prior job to help you succeed in your role today?
As a celebrity makeup artist, I knew what it was like to feel like you are owned by the industry. I quickly learned that I am actually a CEO and can set the stage and not feel the Hollywood tug. I was doing makeup on people like Olivia Rodrigo and still felt the power as a CEO.
What is something you do differently from the industry standard?
I am working with creatives mostly and helping to break that starving artist narrative. This really disrupts this industry and puts the power back in the creatives hands. This is what I love coaching on.
What are three strategies you use to market your business, grow brand awareness and generate bottom line growth?
I use PR, my podcast, social media, and my email list.
